Kate Middleton Shock: Prince William’s Wife Reportedly Makes Subtle Dig At Meghan Markle

Kate Middleton may have just made a subtle dig at her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle.

On the podcast “Happy Mum Happy Baby,” the Duchess of Cambridge talked about the time when she stepped out in public for the first time after Prince George’s birth. Middleton called it a terrifying experience.

“Both William and I were really conscious that this was something that everyone was excited about. For us to be able to share that joy and appreciation with the public, I felt it was really important,” she said.

The future queen followed in Princess Diana’s footsteps of making a public appearance just hours after giving birth. Middleton stepped out of St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing after Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis’ births. However, Markle decided to break away from the same tradition.

Prince Harry’s wife waited over 24 hours because she introduced her son, Archie, to the entire world. The Duchess of Sussex didn’t also make an appearance outside the hospital where she gave birth in but at Windsor Castle.

On the “Royals” podcast, royal commentator Angela Mollard said that Middleton’s statement about her post-birth appearances was very different from what Prince Harry and Markle did last year.

“Of course, there were all the shenanigans about them and their baby and where it was going to be born and how it was going to be announced and whether or not they will show the baby and I loved the real clarity of William and Kate. ‘Yes we're having a baby, yes I am pregnant, yes I am sick, yes I have had it, here I am a few hours later with the baby,’” Mollard said.

The royal expert also reacted to the criticisms about Middleton and other members of the royal family encouraging other moms to have unrealistic expectations of what they should look like after giving birth. Following her children’s births, the Duchess of Cambridge looked immaculate in her outfits.
