Kate Middleton Stuns In Recycled Alexander McQueen Coat Dress [PHOTOS]
Kate Middleton's fashion choices are classic and timeless, so it is no surprise that she loves to recycle them every once in a while.
The Duchess of Cambridge recently opened the V&A Museum, which she is a royal patron of, in Dundee, Scotland. For the event, Middleton recycled her green Alexander McQueen tartan coat dress, which she wore for the first time six years ago, according to Elle. Middleton paired this dress with a green bag, black tights, gloves and heels. She previously donned it when she visited St. Andrew's School in November 2012.
According to Vanity Fair, the tartan dress may have been a nod to Alexander McQueen and the history and culture of Scotland.
Prince William also went for a classic style, complementing Middleton's outfit perfectly. See photos of Middleton's Alexander McQueen coat dress and Prince William's suit below.
During the opening, Middleton also gave a speech to celebrate the occasion. “I hope that this museum will serve as an inspiration to others, by showing how great things can be achieved when different communities all pull together,” she said.
This isn't the first time that Middleton had recycled an outfit this year. During a recent to the Royal Opera House, the mom-of-three rewore a magenta peplum-style skirt suit by Oscar de la Renta, which she first donned for another engagement back in February 2017.
Just a few days after New Year's, Middleton also recycled a blue coat from Catherine Walker, one of her favorite labels. She first wore the stunning piece during her trip to Norway in early 2018. She paired the coat with a headband of the same color, black Prada pumps and a Jimmy Choo "Celeste" clutch.
Meanwhile, Middleton has been incorporating her passion for art in her royal duties. Kensington previously announced that the duchess, who has an art history degree from the University of St. Andrew's, will be going behind the scenes and exploring how costumes are made.
Aside from interacting with ballet dancers, Middleton also stopped by the dye shop and pattern room to see how costumes are made during her visit to the Royal Opera House.
"Over the coming months, The Duchess will be exploring her interest in the use and manufacture of textiles through learning opportunities, visits to places like the @RoyalOperaHouse and meetings with industry experts," the palace tweeted.
