Kate Middleton Stuns In Recycled Oscar De La Renta Skirt Suit [PHOTOS]
Kate Middleton's style is timeless, so it's no surprise that the Duchess of Cambridge can just recycle old looks whenever she wants.
Middleton recently stopped by the Royal Opera House where she met with ballet dancers and costume designers. For the outing, Prince William's wife looked absolutely gorgeous in a magenta peplum-style skirt suit by Oscar de la Renta. This wasn't the first time she had worn this ensemble as she previously donned it for another engagement back in February 2017, according to People.
Middleton accessorized the eye-catching skirt suit with black opaque tights, Rupert Sanderson black pumps with a gold buckle and a black leather handbag by Aspinal of London. Check out photos of Middleton's recycled Oscar de la Renta ensemble below!
Last week, Middleton's sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, also went on a solo outing. Following the announcement of her new patronages, Prince Harry's wife visited animal charity Mayhew for the first time.
Unlike Middleton, Markle chose a completely neutral ensemble for her solo engagement. The Duchess of Sussex wore a cream Emporio Armani cashmere coat. For her dress, though, she went for the much more affordable $34.99 H&M beige knit maternity dress from the brand's maternity line, MAMA.
Markle accessorized her outfit with Signature Midi Knockout Studs by Dean Davidson and a beige Stella McCartney tote bag.
Late last year, rumors of tensions between Markle and Middleton surfaced. News that Markle and Prince Harry are moving out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage only intensified speculations that there was tension between Prince William, his younger brother and their respective wives.
However, a palace insider told People that conflict may be inevitable for Middleton and Markle, especially since they are both "strong" women.
“Wives do change the dynamic, and they both have very strong wives,” the source said. “If you bring two independent-minded women from the real world into the royal world, they are going to want to have an impact.”
Both Markle and Middleton, though, are capable of grabbing the hearts' of people and owning the spotlight.
“An ordinary woman is not going to get to become a princess,” a palace source stated. “There is a necessary strength of character and ambition and single-mindedness. It takes someone really strong. That is Kate and Meghan.”
