Kate Middleton reveals her struggles during mealtime.

In a few days, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be heading to Pakistan for an official tour. Prior to their trip, the couple revealed that they are excited for the food in the country.

Middleton also shared how her family loves to eat curry. However, the duchess, who is very hands-on when it comes to her family, surprisingly finds it hard to prepare.

“It’s so hard cooking curry with the family though,” Middleton said.

“The children have a portion with no spice, yours is medium. And I quite like it hot. Charlotte is pretty good with heat.”

Prince William confessed that he likes his food of a medium spice. However, the future king was told by a member of the crowd that there’s no medium spice in Pakistan.

“Me and heat, not so good. I love spice but not heat,” the second-in-line to the throne said while pulling at the waist of his suit before adding, “I’m looking forward to it anyway. I’m going to need a bigger suit.”

Aside from curry, Prince William revealed earlier that he and his wife loves sushi. The duke shared this when he stepped out to open a Japanese cultural center in London a year ago.

“Thank you very much. My wife and I love sushi. We might have to come down here for lunch,” Prince William said. “You must get a lot of Japanese visitors here. So do lots of people come in and ask for a burger? That’s what usually happens, doesn’t it?”

During royal tours, Prince William and Middleton have to avoid some types of food. OK! Magazine previously reported that the royals should never be served with shellfish to avoid food poisoning. The royal family has over 2,000 engagements every year and they can’t afford to be sick, or they will miss their scheduled engagements.

As for their daily meal, Carolyn Robb, a Kensington Palace chef, said that garlic is a big “no-no” in the palace. The members of the royal family avoid garlic because they do a lot of public engagements and are often times in close proximity to the people.
