Kate Middleton Wears $40 Zara Blazer In Official Outing With Prince William

Kate Middleton recently recycled an affordable jacket for a royal engagement.

The Princess of Wales rocked a lapelless fitted blazer from Zara, a top of the same ecru shade, basic black trousers and black pointed heels when she and her husband Prince William took part in BBC Radio 1's "Newsbeat" program for World Mental Health Day, according to Page Six. The episode was recorded Monday and released the following day.

Middleton paired the outfit with a chunky gold-plated "Luisa" necklace from Laura Lombardi that retails for $260.

Prince William, 40, opted for a simple navy blue suit, which he paired with a button-down shirt that was a shade lighter.

Middleton's Zara blazer was originally priced at $80, but selected colors, including the ecru style the princess wore at the recording session, have been marked down to just $40 on the retailer's website.

A red version of the blazer has a 45% discount, but the dark purple and green styles are still full price.

But if royal fans are planning to purchase the exact same blazer that Middleton sported, they might have to wait a little longer as most of the sizes are designated as "coming soon" on the site.

This wasn't the first time Middleton attended a royal engagement wearing the beige blazer.

In June, following the celebration of the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, the princess first wore the cream-colored jacket for a visit to the children's charity Little Village Brent in London.

At the time, Middleton paired it with a simple white T-shirt and wide-legged black trousers by Roland Mouret. She accessorized with $689 Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings and a $179 Massimo Dutti woven clutch bag.

Aside from the Princess of Wales, other royals have been seen wearing the collarless blazer.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden was pictured sporting the green version of the jacket just a day before Middleton sported her Zara look in June, according to Page Six.

Earlier this year, Middleton rocked another Zara blazer during a two-day solo tour of Copenhagen, Denmark.

The mom of three donned the $90 textured, double-breasted red blazer for a visit to the University of Copenhagen to learn of the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project, which promotes positive relationships between children and their parents.

She paired the blazer with a ruffled white blouse, black flared trousers, an Aspinal of London handbag and black stiletto pumps, according to Vogue.

Middleton previously wore the jacket during an England versus Germany soccer game at the Wembley Stadium in London last year.
