Kate Middleton Wears Favorite Boots For Gardening, Spends Time With Mom
Kate Middleton is busy with her royal duties, but she still finds time to bond with her mother, Carole Middleton.
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Robin Hood Primary School in south west London. Middleton arrived in skinny black jeans and oversized Temperley London sweater and a Barbour waxed jacket, People reported.
The royal mom paired this with her favorite Spanish leather boots that cost around $674. Her footwear features a Goodyear Welted Commando rubber sole which is perfect for a rainy weather. She wore the same boots when she went on a five-hour hike in the Himalayas with Prince William in April 2016. The publication noted that Middleton has been keeping the boots in her closet for over a decade already.
For her recent visit, Middleton joined the children in the outdoor learning area and sensory garden. The area allows the children to explore and develop their knowledge and understanding of the environment. The activities aim to stir their curiosity and stimulate their senses with achievable tasks.
Gardening helps children with their physical and mental well-being. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Campaign for School Gardening inspires and supports kids with gardening opportunities to boost their skills and development.
Middleton confessed that she finds gardening fun too. In fact, the Duchess of Cambridge hopes to pass her love of gardening to her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
"I've got such fond memories of being in the garden and being outside from my own childhood, and I'm sharing that with my own children, George and Charlotte, at the moment," Middleton said.
After gardening, Middleton was spotted with her mother, Carole. Prince William is in Finland for an official visit, so Middleton's mom fills in to keep her company. In the photos shared by Daily Mail, the mother and daughter were spotted leaving Kensington Palace Wednesday afternoon with Middleton at the wheel.
On Tuesday, Middleton visited the Foundling Museum in London where she met the families and children who have benefited from the museum's education and outreach programs. During the said sighting, she was asked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement.
"William and I are absolutely thrilled," Middleton said. "It's such exciting news. It's a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment."
