Kate Middleton will be “Prince Philip in a dress” when Prince William becomes the new king.

According to a recent report from People, the Duchess of Cambridge is already cementing her role. Middleton is “finding her voice” and is ready to take on her role as the future queen consort.

However, netizens weren’t impressed. According to one online user, when Prince William takes over the throne and Middleton becomes a queen consort, she will be like the Queen’s husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, who lacks a strong presence.

“She will be Prince Philip in a dress. Seen and not heard and walking behind her King,” the netizen wrote.

Meanwhile, others reacted because they felt that it took too long for Middleton to find her voice. She married Prince William in 2011 and has been a member of the Firm for eight years already.

“8 years as a royal and she is just now finding her voice. What took so long? Yall are propping her up when she has yet to accomplish anything as a royal. The Cambridge's PR team is really pushing it,” one user wrote.

Another netizen said that it would be “all talk and no action.” Meanwhile, a different user said that Middleton only found her voice following Meghan Markle’s arrival. If Prince Harry didn’t marry Markle and the former “Suits” star isn’t that active in her royal duties, Middleton won’t be doing the projects she did.

“It took a sister-in-law to enter that family to make her do something? and by something meaning a garden and a log? the desperation is real! she will never do anything just like the past 8 years. no substance to her. she should just stop colluding w the press in smearing Meg,” the netizen opined.

Many royal fans have criticized Middleton for being lazy. Earlier this year, a group of royal followers took to Twitter and aired their disappointment in the Duchess of Cambridge. One said that Middleton was still not on the level she expected her to be. She felt that Middleton was forever stuck at year 1.

Meanwhile, another said that Middleton was part of the royal family for eight years and “there’s nothing to show.” The same user called Middleton “duchess do little.”
