Kate Middleton chose an Emilia Wickstead dress for her last engagement in Mumbai to meet young entrepreneurs at The Social on Monday. She and her husband, who are on a six-day maiden visit to India and Bhutan, wrapped up their Mumbai visit. The Social is a cafe and a collaborative work space, where the royal couple met emerging business talent.
Keeping the Mumbai weather in mind, the 34-year-old wowed in an off-white Emilia Wickstead dress. Kate wore a wool crepe midi dress by the high-street designer. The dress is reportedly already sold out in all the websites.
The dress featured short sleeves, rounded collar, two pocket-like designs in front. It also had a fitted bodice and flared skirt. Kate teamed up her dress with nude high heels and a matching clutch bag. Her long brunette tresses were left loose in a side part and styled into loose curls.
For her daytime makeup, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for smoky eyes and a slick of nude lipstick. She accessorized with her engagement ring.
William, 33, meanwhile looked dapper in a navy suit. He paired it with a crisp white shirt and blue tie. The British royal couple were greeted by Riyaaz Amlani, CEO of Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. William took the time to chat to the youngsters at the U.K.-backed event, showing a great deal of interest as they listened to the budding business talent.
At one point, the couple took turns to put on a blindfold and learnt how to type in Braille . They typed the word “George.”
It was William and Kate’s final event in Mumbai before they head to New Delhi later in the day. The royal couple made quite an impression on the city, from their visit to the slums, to Kate playing cricket in heels, and their appearance at a charity gala in the Taj Mahal Palace hotel.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will head to New Delhi, where they are scheduled to visit the India Gate and the Gandhi museum. They will pay their respects at the memorial where Mahatma Gandhi was killed. Besides, William and Kate will also attend a birthday party for Queen Elizabeth II, who will turn 90 on April 21, at the residence of the British High Commissioner in the city.
