Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is as charming a woman as can be found. However, being part of a royal family isn't easy.
With Christmas around the corner and the high-profile Christmas day lunch at Sandringham to come - a British royal family tradition - Kate Middleton must have her hands full with deciding what outfits to wear, particularly given this is the 29-year-old's first royal Christmas.
Recently, for example, Kate was seen sporting an elegant black velvet evening gown at a military awards function; the dress was designed by British fashion house Alexander McQueen's Christmas collection and rumor has it two evening gowns have also been ordered.
Kate will need a casual outfit for breakfast, a smart outfit - and a hat - for the morning church service, a dress for lunch, a cocktail dress for early evening drinks and a full-length dress for the evening meal, said fashion expert Jean Broke-Smith, in a report by Grazia magazine.
The golden rule is nothing too short, too revealing or too gaudy, she added.
The good Duchess must be quite confused.
She doesn't want to overdo it, but if she goes for an understated look, it's like she hasn't made an effort, said Sheridan Bowler, 19, a guest at the military awards function held earlier this week.
Apparently Kate told Sheridan she was looking forward to Christmas with Prince William's family, and said (would have) to change dress 5 times on Christmas Day.
