Kate Middleton’s Birthing Technique Makes Labor ‘Absolutely Amazing,’ Mom Says

Kate Middleton’s birthing technique reportedly makes labor “absolutely amazing,” another mother claimed.

The Duchess of Cambridge admitted in a recent interview that she used hypnobirthing technique to ease labor pain. Middleton said that the technique even made her “quite liked labor.”

Another mom who used the same technique experienced the same. According to Dr. Lauren Wolfenden, hypnobirthing makes labor “absolutely amazing.”

“I didn’t want too many medical interventions or pain relief. Hypnobirthing just kept coming up in our research so I decided to give it a try,” Wolfenden told The Bolton News of how she decided to use the technique.

She shared that they used visualization technique and she practiced with her husband. Last weekend, she went into labor and spent 23 hours at home in the first stage before heading to Ingleside Birth Centre for two and half hours of active labor. However, the experience didn’t leave any negative impression on her.

“I couldn’t have asked for it to be better. If my husband and I didn’t take the course together it wouldn’t have been the same experience. It allowed me to take take control, it was absolutely amazing,” she added.

“I describe it to all my friends as birthing mindfulness, it gives you a tool box of lots of different things to deal with birth. We use mindfulness and CBT to control our mental health and people don’t think of birth like that but you’re not having an operation and it works.”

Wolfenden and her husband attended classes on Tuesday evening. They paid $194 for four lessons which include hypnobirthing book, relaxation CD and hand-outs.

In related news, Middleton shared that she also struggles with mom guilt. The Duchess of Cambridge confessed that she has to skip some of her obligations with her children when she attends royal engagements.

“You know, even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here, George and Charlotte were like, ‘Mummy, how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?’” Middleton shared.

Meanwhile, a source told People that Middleton is exposing herself and she’s not making a vanity exercise by doing so. Prince William’s wife has been doing this for years and she’s just talking about her work.
