Kate Middleton’s ‘Elegant, Chic’ Royal Style Has This Secret Message
Kate Middleton’s fashion has been described as elegant and chic by fashion experts. But they also said that the Duchess of Cambridge’s style has secret messages.
During her engagement in 2011, fashion editor Emily Dean claimed that Middleton carefully planned what she was going to wear. She said that the mom of three’s attire was plain, elegant, and chic, and it wasn’t insanely expensive.
“It was not some jeweled thing that had taken six months to make from an old Paris design house. It sent quite a clear message, I think, about them being quite a young, modern royal couple,” she said (via Express).
Joe Zee, the creative director of Elle magazine in the United States, said that Middleton looked glowing during her engagement announcement. He also said that the Duchess of Cambridge’s attire was classic, and it could hold up to the test of time.
In related news, Middleton also made headlines this week after she was photographed in a ponytail during her trip to Leicester City with Prince William. This was the second time that the future Queen Consort opted to keep her hair tied.
But according to People, even though Middleton’s bouncy locks were not let loose during her two engagements, she still made sure to switch things up even just a little bit. During her visit to the university last week, Middleton parted her hair to the side in front. But on Wednesday’s outing, all her hair was pulled straight back.
Middleton may have followed in Meghan Markle’s footsteps of wearing a ponytail in public because this is something she has rarely done since marrying Prince William in 2011. Markle, on the other hand, popularized the messy bun, which she has worn on multiple occasions.
In fact, during Markle’s last engagement with the women of Hubb’s community kitchen, she was photographed in a red ensemble and with her hair once again tied in a ponytail.
