  • Kate Middleton and Prince William's Instagram account has a higher score compared to Harry and Meghan's
  • Prince William and Kate Middleton's Instagram account is more high-quality than Harry and Meghan's
  • The royal couples have the same number of Instagram followers

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s respective Instagram accounts have the exact same number of followers. However, Cambridge’s social media account has a higher score than the Sussexes.

While speaking with Express, Andy Barr, CEO and founder of 10 Yetis in the United Kingdom, said that Prince William and Middleton’s Instagram has a higher score because of the overall volume, quality of comments and the number of likes that they have.

“Harry and Meghan are now in the top 400 (318) Instagram users in the world, compared to William and Kate's place in 616. Megxit has clearly been kind to Harry and Meghan in the eyes of the social media giants such as Instagram,” he said.

However, it is Prince Harry and Markle’s Instagram account that has a higher number of engaged social media audience. They also gained the greatest number of followers within the shortest period of time. And following their bombshell exit, Prince Harry and Markle’s Instagram followers once again skyrocketed.

When it comes to their followers’ demographics, Barr said that the Sussexes and Cambridge’s supporters vary greatly.

“As you would expect, both of the accounts are really high quality with no signs of suspicious activity that would be aimed at falsely inflating their follower numbers. We can see that William and Kate have slightly more interest from a UK audience compared to Harry and Meghan who have more interest from the USA,” Barr said.

But unlike Prince William and Middleton’s account, Prince Harry and Markle receive the most negative comments from their critics and online trolls. In fact, some of their followers have been complaining about their comments being removed from the account.

“I don’t understand why you keep deleting comments? The taxpayers have paid all your bills your whole life Harry,” one royal fan said.

“Why have my comments been deleted? I wasn’t rude or offensive. You decided to use social media to make this announcement and then decide you’ll only listen to what you want to hear – grow up,” another person wrote.
