Kate Middleton’s mom Carole Middleton is giving toys to children’s wards amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s mother is doing her part to help the sick kids during the COVID-19 crisis. The Middleton’s family business Party Pieces shared a photo of Carole loading a box full of toys and goody bags into the trunk of a car in an Instagram Story, Town & Country reported. The packages were delivered to the children’s wards in an NHS hospital.
“Happy to help @helpnhsheroes with some toys for children's wards,” the caption read.
Carole’s good deed comes days after their family business was called out by some of their unsatisfied customers.
Party Pieces received negative reviews from some of its clients just recently. Many said that the company ignored them during the lockdown. Several shared the same experience — they had a hard time reaching out to Carole or the other staff about their orders.
“Shambolic experience. Please save yourself the trouble and order elsewhere,” natfarn86 commented.
“We ordered a personalised banner for our son’s birthday weeks ago and still haven’t received it. Instead we received another customer’s order who lives 3 hours away and has also had issues with this company.”
Another user said they received a box full of items they didn’t ask for and never received the new items promised, so they didn’t get what they wanted.
“We have no trust or confidence in this company now and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone,” the netizen added.
“Really not happy as it’s my partner’s 40th bday on Sunday and my order is totally obsolete now,” another unhappy customer wrote with an angry red face emoji.
A different user also kept on commenting on Party Pieces’ posts to get its attention. According to the online user, she’s been trying to reach out to the company regarding her order but to no avail. “You are totally unreachable which is very bad customer experience,” the customer wrote.
In 2019, there were rumors that Party Pieces was in trouble after Carole reportedly fired half of its staff. Among those who lost their jobs were the company’s web designer, PR agent, search engine optimization wizard, and three warehouse workers.
Sources claimed at the time that there were no stocks in the warehouse. They didn’t post out goods on demand, too. Instead, the products were only ordered in as required.
