Kate Middleton’s Son Prince George To Make A Cameo In ‘Fireman Sam’
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s son, Prince George, will be making a cameo in the 30th anniversary episode of “Fireman Sam.”
The Duke of Cambridge previously revealed that his four-year-old son is a huge fan of the animated series in the United Kingdom. “Fireman Producer” Ian McCue confirmed Prince George’s cameo via a statement to People.
“We’re going to celebrate ‘Fireman Sam’s’ 30th anniversary by introducing a very special episode. We heard that we have a very famous fan in Prince George, so we thought it would be really fun to bring a royal family to Pontypandy and see how the community reacts to that,” he said.
According to the Daily Express, details about Prince George’s character have not yet been released. But there will be a special tribute to the young fan on next week’s episode.
While speaking with BBC, McCue also expressed his excitement over Prince George’s the episode. “‘Fireman Sam’ has been enjoyed by generations over the past 30 years and is a true icon of children’s television around the world. We can’t wait for fans to see the special royal episode and the new series which will out next year,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prince William told BBC Radio 1 earlier this year that his son’s current favorite show is “Fireman Sam.” “‘Fireman Sam’ has taken an awful lot of interest. George has gone past ‘Peppa Pig’ stage,” he said. In March 2016, Middleton also bought a “Fireman Sam” book for Prince George when she visited East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
But other than his fondness for “Fireman Sam,” Prince George is also a huge fan of “The Lion King.” “He’s watched that a few times. We’ve watched ‘Octonauts’ several times. He has watched some ‘Lego’ movies as well, so he’s watched a lot of things like that. Trying to keep his off the television is hard work,” Prince William said.
In other news, Prince George recently started going to school. Middleton said that she’s starting to get used to seeing her son leave for school daily.
