Prince George would be a great king, a report has claimed.
Prince William and Kate Middleton want to give their children a normal childhood, especially their eldest son, Prince George, who is third in line to the throne. However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge already told their son about his future role in the monarchy, and the young royal has been showing signs that he will be a good king in the future.
"His confidence has grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years," an unnamed source told Us Weekly. "He is assertive, self-assured and knows what he wants, and doesn't hold back on speaking his mind. His personality is really starting to shine."
The insider added, "Prince George is already showing that he has what it takes to be the future King of England."
The tipster also praised the 8-year-old royal for being "incredibly tidy" and "immaculate." Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis' sibling is also "fun-loving" and has a "cute, mischievous side."
"He likes to play pranks on his parents and siblings, and making everyone laugh," the source explained. "Despite the responsibilities he'll entail in his future role, Kate and William don't want to see him grow up too quickly. They're determined to give him as much of a normal childhood as possible and it's working wonders. He's such a lovable, down-to-earth little boy. … It's clear Prince William and Kate are raising him well."
Prince George is focused on art as he reportedly inherited his grandfather Prine Charles' talent. He copies the artworks and photographs he finds in Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall and spends hours painting and drawing, which he enjoys.
"Kate and William are astonished by how good he is and have framed some of his paintings and given them to [Queen] Elizabeth [II] as gifts. His favorite thing to do is draw pictures of his family," the insider said, adding that aside from art, Prince George has skills "well beyond his years."
Prince George is already aware of his future role in the monarchy. Prince William told his son about it "sometime around his seventh birthday," according to a new chapter in Robert Lacey's updated book "Battle of Brothers."
"William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son," Lacey wrote, as quoted by Vanity Fair. "Maybe one day George will tell us the story himself. But sometime around the boy's seventh birthday in the summer of 2020, it is thought that his parents went into more detail about what the little prince's life of future royal 'service and duty' would particularly involve."
