Katie Holmes Enjoys Solo Bike Ride In NYC A Month After Emilio Vitolo Jr Split

Katie Holmes was spotted all alone in New York City a little more than a month after she and Emilio Vitolo Jr. called it quits.

The 42-year-old Hollywood actress was photographed enjoying a solo bike ride in the Big Apple Tuesday. In the photos obtained and released by Daily Mail, Holmes was seen dressed comfortably while returning a Citi Bike bicycle to a dock near her residence in Manhattan.

The “Dawson’s Creek” alum rocked a white long-sleeved t-shirt, dark blue jogging pants and a pair of Gucci sneakers. She also had a camel-colored cap and a colorful floral-patterned face mask on.

Sources said Holmes opted to ride a bike around the bustling city while doing some errands. It’s worth noting that she continued to flaunt her short hairstyle during her latest outing. She actually debuted her new look a few weeks ago fresh from her split from Vitolo.

The “Batman Begins” star’s spokesperson confirmed around mid-May that she and the 33-year-old chef have decided to party ways but have chosen to remain friends.

“The pair have parted ways amicably but remain friends,” Holmes’ spokesperson was quoted as saying by Us Weekly at the time.

An insider also told the news outlet that while both Holmes and Vitolo enjoyed their time together, things just didn’t work out between them. The actress was focused on her mommy duties to 15-year-old daughter Suri Cruise and her upcoming projects while her ex-boyfriend was busy with his family’s restaurant Emilio’s Ballato in New York.

Holmes and Vitolo first sparked romance rumors in September. Their romantic relationship was confirmed shortly after as they were seen packing on the PDA in the Big Apple. But things started to crumble when Holmes had to stay in Connecticut for a project early this year.

Nevertheless, it seems Holmes has already moved on from her failed relationship. Aside from her much shorter haircut, she recently launched her new production label, called Lafayette Pictures, in partnership with Yale Productions, as per Deadline.

Her new label is currently in the process of prepping her third film, entitled “Rare Objects.” It is also working on a limited series, called “The Watergate Girl,” which will also feature the actress.
