Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx Attend Separate Events Amid Long-Distance Relationship

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx turned heads when they walked the Met Gala red carpet together last month. However, the lovers have been spending some time apart since then. This week, they chose to be in different countries as they attend separate events.

On Saturday, the “Dawson’s Creek” alum looked stunning when she showed up at the LIFE+ Solidarity Gala, which was part of the 2019 Life Ball, in Vienna donning a glittering, multicolored strapless gown by Missoni that accentuated her slender waist.

The 40-year-old actress wore her straight hair down and rocked a few accessories for the event, including a gold pendant necklace. Based on the photos obtained by Daily Mail, Holmes flashed a big smile after speaking onstage at the gathering.

On the other hand, Foxx remained in the U.S. as he was one of the stars who got invited to speak onstage at the 2019 AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony that honored Denzel Washington.

“I’ve had Denzel to my house. I like saying that because not a lot of people get a chance to do that. He sat at the table, and he talked to all of the young actors who were coming up, and all the young actresses,” Jamie said during the ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on Thursday.

”That night he talked to all of us, and he made us all feel like absolutely we could do it. Thank you for taking that night out to help some people grow, man,” he added.

At the event, Foxx grabbed the chance to take photos with other A-list actors and actresses, including Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Chris Tucker and Cicely Tyson, among others. He proudly shared the photos on Instagram this weekend.

Holmes and Foxx have been spending some time apart for weeks now. The actress has been staying in New York City with daughter Suri Cruise, 13. Contrariwise, the Academy Award-winning actor is currently staying in Los Angeles with her 25-year-old daughter, Corinne.

Despite the distance, the two of them are keen on keeping their relationship. In fact, Katie has been frequently spotted talking on the phone on several solo outings lately. Though it’s not clear if it were really Jamie who was on the other end of the conversation, it’s safe to assume that it could be none other than him since his daughter has already expressed her approval of their romantic relationship.
