Katy Perry And John Mayer Reportedly Still Together Because They Never Broke Up, So What's With The Rumors? [POLL]

Katy Perry and John Mayer -- are they dating or what? Well, according to the latest reports, Perry and Mayer never even broke up.

The news exploded when fans found out that one of America's sweethearts was dating notorious womanizer John Mayer, and no one seemed shocked that weeks after Mayer had professed to the 27-year-old "Wide Awake" singer that he was a changed man, he dumped her.

But alas, the rumor mill has gotten the facts wrong again.

Katy Perry and John Mayer have been dating the entire time, according to new photos that emerged from Twitter and Instagram.

Gossip Cop reported that Perry and Mayer were caught "holding hands and kissing" while they attended the FYF music festival in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

Even though the photos are blurry, Perry and Mayer posed for a picture with a bunch of their friends after the festival was over.

People magazine, however, is insisting that the two music stars are "just friends," and that Perry was the one who has called it quits with the lothario.

"They'll end up as friends," a source told the magazine. "They were honestly having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was."

It could be true that the couple is trying to play it cool considering Mayer's reputation and that Perry just got out of a marriage, but if they are actually holding hands and kissing, it seems that the lines between friendship and relationship are more than blurred.

Considering that neither Perry or Mayer has publicly commented on their relationship and that half of the sources are claiming that the couple is together while others deny it, it's no wonder no one can seem to understand where the two really stand at this point.
