Katy Perry Diet Revealed: What Singer Eats To Maintain Weight Loss
Katy Perry is starting the year on a healthy note, making sure she stays in tip-top shape as the summer approaches. The “Roar” singer often shows off her slim and curvy figure, and has admitted to working out upward of five times a week.
Her svelte figure is often credited to her fitness regime, which includes hiking, and wearing a pedometer to count her steps, her trainer Harley Pasternak told Hello magazine last May. But now, her eating habits have been revealed.
TMZ reports that when backstage at her New Year’s Eve concert in Las Vegas, the pop star requested the healthiest foods possible. Among the list are:
-fresh veggies AT ALL TIMES -- including spinach/broccoli/celery/beets/carrots/kale, etc.
-two large baskets of fruit -- one must be tropical.
-dinner must include a vegetarian option ... plus quinoa or couscous.
-ALL meals must be low fat and health conscious and cannot contain MSG.
In her dressing room, Perry’s requirements are even more detailed:
-fresh organic grown fruit (including SLICED pineapple, mango, kiwis, etc)
-fresh cut crudites (cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, snap peas & celery ... plus ranch dip)
-healthy granola
-dried figs
-whole grain tortilla chips
-large bowl hummus
-fresh made guacamole
Perry is not the only singer who eats quite healthily. Last May, Beyonce posted a photo on her official Tumblr site of her dinner backstage while on her “Mrs. Carter World Tour,” which had salad Niçoise as a starter, which is a mixed salad of tomatoes and green beans topped with tuna and anchovies. That dish was followed by a sweet potato, chili and coconut soup. Her main course was marinated, pan-seared medallion of beef and vegetables.
Though she eats very healthily, Beyoncé also admitted that she has a sweet tooth and posted a picture of chocolate cake after revealing her dinner menu. While she indulges in her sweet tooth at times, with her diet and exercise regimen, it is no wonder Beyoncé has such an enviable body. And this is not the first time she has revealed diet tips. In March, the new mother showed off her post-baby body on the cover of Shape magazine and described her strict diet and exercise routine, which enabled her to shed the 57 pounds she gained while pregnant with Blue Ivy.
