Award-winning songstress Katy Perry is no stranger to firing up the hits and knowing how to get her fans talking. Perry did just that on Thursday by taking to her personal Instagram to post a proactive photo. The semi-nude image was posted just in time for her longtime love Orlando Bloom's Jan. 13 birthday.

In the photo, Perry, 37, stands topless with her back facing the camera and her long hair draped down her back while wearing black loose-fitting trousers. If you look closely at the photo, a yellow sign that reads "do not hose down" is featured.

"Let it burn baby," Perry captioned the post.

To date, the image, which is included as part of a collage of photos, has received over 2.8 million likes and nearly 20,000 comments. Other photos from the post give a behind-the-scenes look at the "Dark Horse" singer's dressing room.

Bloom, who is Perry's fiancé and the father of their daughter Daisy, apparently has a large say when it comes to Perry's fashion choices. Speaking to E! News' "Daily Pop" last month, the singer said Bloom, 45, helped her select outfits for her upcoming Las Vegas residency "Katy Perry: PLAY."

"We talked about the costumes and the makeup. Sometimes when I'm going to a fitting, he'll ask for notes...It's fun, and we tell each other the truth. I'm like, 'Babe, don't wear that. You look like something. Don't.'"

"It's going to be a little sexy," Perry continued when speaking about her show costumes. "These costumes, some of them have tricks in them, like my 'California Dreams' dress."

Perry's residency runs through March.
