Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have yet to officially define their close relationship, however, a source has recently revealed that things between the two celebrities may be getting serious. Although that does not mean that she has already forgotten her former boyfriend John Mayer.

Over the past few months, Hollywood has been abuzz with dating speculations between Perry and Bloom. A source has confirmed to E! News that the singer and actor have been “doing really well” together. The source also described them as a “chill pair” and that the two continue to hang out a lot with each other. “They both communicate great and laugh when they are around each other,” the source added.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor has even introduced Perry to his son Flynn. The five-year old boy is Bloom’s son with former wife, model Miranda Kerr. The source also shared that Flynn and the “Roar” crooner “get along wonderful.” The singer even found Perry’s son “cute” and “well-behaved.”

However, despite Bloom and Perry taking some of the “next steps” to their relationship, the source mentioned that the singer still remains “very close” with her former boyfriend Mayer. The two musicians were said to have remained friends after their July 2015 separation. “They just want to see each other happy. They have no animosity towards each other,” the source stated.

Meanwhile, Jason Bateman gave his insight on Bloom and Perry’s rumored romance during his recent interview with Entertainment Tonight (ET). The actor was one of the guests during the birthday dinner party for Bloom’s manager Aleen Keshishian, held in Hollywood’s Sunset Tower. Apart from Bloom, Perry and Bateman, Jennifer Aniston was also pictured with the group during the event.

When asked about the rumored couple, Bateman told ET that Perry and Bloom were a “fun couple.” He did not disclose further details about the two stars. Bateman may have been tight-lipped about the pair, however, numerous sightings of Perry and Bloom together were enough to spark dating news. Both were spotted attending several events together over the past few weeks, from a Grammys brunch to a children’s birthday party.
