Katy Perry Receives Most VMA Nominations, Full List [PHOTOS]

Katy Perry received nine MTV 2011 Video Music Awards (VMA) nominations, totaling the most of any other nominee this year. If she wins, it will be her first MTV video music award.

Following right behind Perry is British singer Adele and Kanye West, who each received seven nominations.

Excited stars took to Twitter, displaying their excitement for their nominations.

Katy Perry tweeted: I can't sleep...I'm so excited... It feels like every birthday/Christmas/first kiss I ever had. Thanks so much for believing in me. I owe u.

Chris Brown wrote, I'm nominated for the 2011 VMA's!!! Thanks for the support MTV!!! #Teambreezy #Vma.

The 28^th annual MTV VMA's will be held on August 28 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Fans can vote on the website or via texting from a mobile phone.
