Katy Perry Responds To Orlando Bloom Cheating Rumors; Selena Gomez Retweets Post

Katy Perry has some strong feelings about those Orlando Bloom and Selena Gomez rumors that have been swirling since Tuesday. Stories surfaced after the pair were spotted getting close in a club, leading many to believe the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor was cheating on Perry. The “Firework” singer isn’t buying into the hype, however.

Perry, 31, addressed the rumors via Twitter on Thursday. She asked fans to disregard the drama and focus, instead, on something positive. She shared a link to an article about her beau’s charitable efforts in Ukraine, calling it “COOL.” Gomez retweeted Perry’s tweet, adding the praise hands emoji.

The drama began Tuesday. TMZ posted several photos appearing to show Gomez, 23, and Bloom getting cozy in Las Vegas. According to reports, the alleged hookup took place on May 6 at Mandalay Bay. Gomez was in town for a concert, which she posted about on Instagram. She is said to have been at the club to celebrate her performance and was joined by Bloom, 39, late in the evening. Sources say they were “touchy-feely” during the event, hugging in a booth. Although they were seen spending time together at the popular nightclub, sources say Gomez went back to her hotel room solo.

Rumors have been circulating about Perry and Bloom's status for months. They were first seen getting close during a Golden Globes after party in January. Onlookers told Us Weekly they were “extremely flirty” during the event, though it was unclear at the time whether they were officially a couple. The following month they were spotted together again, this time sharing a smooch during Adele’s concert in Los Angeles. They were joined by Tom Hanks and Robbie Williams.

Bloom and Perry continue to spend a significant amount of time together. On March 1, after months of random romantic sightings, the rumored couple vacationed together in Hawaii. Paparazzi nearby were able to snag photos of the duo holding hands during a hike in Kauai, Hawaii. They were also seen enjoying a helicopter ride together and dining at Bar Acuda during the trip, according to ET Online.

“The looked very loved up and really into each other,” one source said.

Gomez is not known to be dating anyone. She dated Justin Bieber for several years, which ended in 2015. The pair have been spotted together a few times since but do not appear to be a couple. She has also been linked to Niall Horan and Zedd.
