Katy Perry Without Makeup Revealed In New Documentary ?Part Of Me? [PHOTOS]

Katy Perry might be widely recognized as a pop diva who experiments with rainbow shades of hair dye, layers of foundation and false eyelashes and outfits so glittery that a Vegas showgirl would shield her eyes; but without makeup on, Katy Perry is just a regular California girl.

In her new 3D documentary, Part of Me, Katy Perry appears without makeup on during a costume-fitting scene for the California Dreams tour. She reveals a fresh face, scrubbed clean of any cosmetics, for the cameras. With her raven locks pulled back in a tight bun, Perry dances in her costumes and giggles with the crew.

The 27-year-old's documentary hits theaters on July 5. Part of Me will give fans a glimpse at what it takes to be one of America's pop princesses. And Perry certainly is not afraid to bare it all, even with the whole world watching.

When you see the film, it's a bit scary because there's a lot of shots of me bloated with zits and normal, Perry told Ellen DeGeneres while on her show. I think it's important to start breaking down the idea that to achieve your dream you always have to be perfect or flawless or live in some kind of fantasy world.

So that's why I decided to put everything into the film, in the most tasteful way. But mostly it's about how I go there and the ride along the way which can be bumpy but mostly it was extremely fun.

This is not the first time Katy Perry has been seen without makeup on, though the instances are few and far between. In June 2011, ex-husband Russell Brand tweeted a photo of his then-wife looking sleepy and confused. The photo was quickly removed from his account.

Seeing a celebrity without her makeup on comes as a surprise to fans. When Snooki tweeted out a no-makeup photo to her followers in January, fans were thrilled to see the petite reality star fresh-faced.

Katy Perry has been receiving similar kudos from fans who were delighted to see her bare-faced look.
