Is ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Fake? Kanye West’s Proposal To Kim Was Staged, Evidence Shows
While millions of fans tuned in last week to watch Kanye West propose to Kim Kardashian on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," it turns out the romantic scene was fake. On an episode that aired the week prior to the engagement, Kardashian was filmed already wearing the 15-carat ring that West supposedly surprised her with.
In a scene with sister Kourtney, Kim is folding daughter North’s clothes, and the ring that she was not yet supposed to know about is clearly visible. The gaffe is sure to be yet another piece of evidence showing that E!’s “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” is staged.
There were rumors that the proposal was staged back in October. On Oct. 21, Kardashian’s 33rd birthday, West rented AT&T Park in San Francisco for the occasion and proposed to her in front of family and friends. He adorned her ring finger with a huge 15-carat Lorraine Swartz diamond -- which she'd picked out herself, reported RadarOnline. “Kim had picked out her own Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring” and “told Kanye to get the ring from Lorraine Schwartz because she loves the jeweler’s diamonds. She knew the proposal was happening; she just didn’t know when it would happen.”
Her ex-husband, NBA player Kris Humphries, also proposed to the beauty with a 20-carat ring from the same jeweler.
This certainly is not the first time Kim has been accused of faking scenes for her show. Producer Russell Jay previously testified under oath last year in a 165-page deposition that at least two scenes were "scripted, re-shot or edited" to make Humphries look like a villain after Kim decided to divorce the basketball player in 2011.
