'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Season 10, Episode 8 Recap: Scott Disick Turns To Alcohol After The Birth Of His Third Child
Scott Disick's drinking stole the show on Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." When the stress of welcoming a third child became too much, the 31-year-old turned to booze to cope, prompting concern among the Kardashians. This isn't the first time Scott's drinking has set the family on high alert. As you may recall the television personality swore off alcohol after a near overdose during an all-night bender on "Kourtney and Khloé Take the Hamptons."
Rather than stay at home with his longtime girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, and their three children Scott decided to turn to his old friend alcohol. Scott, known to fans as Lord Disick, was shown chugging wine alone at around 11 a.m. PDT at Khloé Kardashian's house. It was later revealed he was escorted there by a security guard after Kourtney asked him to leave the home they share for being too intoxicated. Khloé and close friend Kadijah Haqq tried, and failed, numerous times to get Scott to stop drinking and sleep it off. He refused and tried to walk home, only to go missing for nearly a week.
Later in the episode Kim Kardashian received a phone call from a mutual friend. The friend revealed to the 33-year-old that after four days of hard partying in Aspen, Scott was finally on his way back home. Kim confronted Scott on his arrival home, reminding him he has "such a good life" and suggesting he tone down his partying. Although he seemed receptive to the advice, it was not until he, Khloé and Bruce Jenner took a road trip to Pismo Beach, California, for a day of dune buggying that Scott realized the error of his ways.
After a long day in the desert Khloé, Scott and Bruce stopped at a local restaurant for a nice dinner together. During dinner Bruce expresses his concerns for Scott, reminding him he himself missed out on much of his children's lives and suggesting he return home to be with his family. Although Scott and Bruce have had their differences in the past, Scott agreed he did not want to miss out on any more time with his children, Mason, Penelope and Reign, and decided to forgo staying the night with Khloé and Bruce to head home where he belonged.
Unlike previous times when Scott has gone on a multiday drinking binge, Kourtney welcomed her man home with open arms. During her one-on-one confessional interview she shared she sympathized with Scott and everything he was going through, and did not plan to give up on him anytime soon. The two kissed, made up and settled back into life as parents.
