KEY POINTS
- Kylie Jenner is reportedly preparing to launch her own swimwear brand
- She recently trademarked “Kylie Swim” and “Kylie Swim By Kylie Jenner”
- The “KUWTK” star has been updating her Instagram with bikini snaps lately
After conquering the cosmetics industry, Kylie Jenner seems to be eyeing the swimwear market, a new report suggests.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star appears to be in the process of launching her own swimwear brand, Page Six revealed Tuesday. Apparently, Jenner recently filed legal documents trademarking “Kylie Swim” and “Kylie Swim By Kylie Jenner.”
The outlet managed to obtain a copy of the documents Kim Kardashian’s younger sister filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and it contained a list of possible items that would fall under her new business venture.
Apart from bikinis, footwear, headwear and cover-ups, the documents also mentioned a slew of swimming accessories such as goggles, sunglasses and floats.
From the look of things, the 23-year-old business mogul is planning big things for this brand as she also listed towels, beach bags and even backpacks in her filing.
Jenner is no stranger to the swimwear industry as she and sister Kendall Jenner also run a clothing line that features trendy swim attire.
It is also worth noting that while Jenner is currently enjoying a tropical getaway with her friends, she’s been updating her Instagram with snaps showing her in skimpy bikinis, as per People.
In one post, she showcased a pale pink two-piece swimsuit. In another post, Jenner showed off her sexy body in a silver two-piece bikini.
The news about her next business venture comes months after it was revealed that her mother, Kris Jenner, was joining her in the beauty brand space by launching her own beauty empire.
Kris trademarked “Kris Jenner Beauty,” “Kris Jenner Skin” and “Kris Jenner Skincare” in February. At the time, rumors swirled that she could be launching three separate brands.
But in March, Kris herself debunked the rumors by announcing that she is working on just one brand, a skincare line that is launching sometime in the next two years.
“About four or five years ago, I decided to formulate a skincare line. I had some samples done up. So I do have a skincare line that I love that's ready to go,” she told WSJ Magazine at the time.
“When the time is right, a year from now, maybe two — I just think it's really important for older women to realize that if they just take care of their skin, it's not complicated. So, I just did something that emulates exactly what my daily routine is. That will be my line,” she added.
