Kelly Preston had a massive combined net worth with her husband, John Travolta.
The actress passed away on Sunday at the age of 57 following a two-year battle with breast cancer. At the time of her death, she and Travolta had a combined net worth of $180 million.
The couple maintained a large real estate portfolio, which includes a $2.65 million Los Angeles home that was purchased in September last year, a 50-acre estate in Maine and a mansion in Clearwater, Florida, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
The celebrity couple also owned an estate in Ocala, Florida in the Jumbolair Aviation Estates neighborhood, which serves as a working private airport for large planes. The property reportedly had a large enough runway for John to operate his Boeing 707.
Preston was best known for her roles in the 1996 film “Jerry Maguire,” the Arnold Schwarzenegger-Danny DeVito comedy “Twins” and rom-com “For the Love of the Game” alongside Kevin Costner. She starred in the 2018 crime drama “Gotti” opposite her husband.
Preston also appeared in Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved” music video. Her most recent work includes the Jules Williamson comedy “Off the Rails” with Dame Judi Dench.
Meanwhile, paying tribute to his wife on Instagram, Travolta, 66, wrote that his wife chose to keep her illness private all throughout her two-year battle with the disease.
“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered,” he said. “I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal.”
Preston's death comes 11 years after the couple lost their eldest son, Jett, following a seizure at their family home in the Bahamas. The teenager hit his head on a bathtub during the seizure.
At her lowest point, Preston said she thought she wouldn't get over the grief.
“I’ve had enormous loss. Nobody should have to lose a child. It’s unfathomable,” she said on “The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet” in 2012. “Everybody grieves in their own way. I felt at times like I was drowning. It felt like a sea of wet blankets.”
One of Preston’s final Instagram posts was a tribute to Travolta, and it featured a picture of Jett looking lovingly at his dad.
Preston is survived by Travolta, 66, and their children Ella, 20, and Benjamin, 9.
