Kelly Ripa Admits Posting Husband's 'Shirtless Photos' After Madonna Followed Her On Social Media

Kelly Ripa has admitted that she started posting shirtless photos of her husband, actor Mark Consuelos, on social media as soon as she learned that Madonna is following her on social media.

The 52-year-old actress, who appeared on the "Everything Iconic" podcast Monday, shared that she wanted to grab Madonna's attention after celebrity trainer Isaac Boots informed her that she is being followed by the legendary singer on Instagram.

"That happened to me when Madonna followed me and Isaac Boots told me. He's like, 'Oh my god. Madonna followed you and I was like, 'What? What? What?!' and I immediately sort of changed everything I posted," Ripa admitted.

She went on to share how she began to post more of her husband's shirtless photos, thinking that Madonna doesn't want to see her kids, instead, she would like to see "eye candy."

"My thought bubbles of Madonna following me and me feeding her something was like, forget anybody else," Ripa added. "I was playing to an audience of one for a while."

Ripa and Consuelos got married in 1996 after dating on and off for a year. The couple welcomed their first child, Michael Joseph, together in June 1997. The couple welcomed Lola in June 2001 and Joaquin Antonio in February 2003.

The actress never shies away from posting her husband's shirtless photos. In November 2017, Ripa shared a photo of Consuelos posing in a swimming pool to promote the drama series, "Riverdale."

"Just a smokin hot reminder that #riverdale is on tonight 8pm on the CW!," she captioned the photo at that time. "Sexiest man alive EVERY YEAR! Year after year!"

The actress also posted a candid photo of Consuelos in the sea in July 2019.

In a separate photo posted in July 2021, the 51-year-old actor can be seen dripping in sweat. "One year ago, when the air conditioner gave up, so did @instasuelos," she captioned the post.

On the work front, Ripa was a regular on the TV series, "All My Children," from 1990 to 2010. She is popularly known for co-hosting the TV series "Live with Kelly and Ryan" since 1991. She will be next seen in the TV movie, "Work Wife," and TV series, "Pine Valley," as Hayley Vaughan Santos.

Consuelos is currently filming the TV series "The Girls on the Bus."
