Kelsey Grammer Flees ‘Piers Morgan’ Interview: Morgan’s List Of Enemies Grows

Kelsey Grammer was set to appear on “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Wednesday when he reportedly got wind that Morgan wanted to discuss his ex-wife Camille Grammer. According to ABC News, the “Boss” star walked out of Morgan’s studio before the interview began.

The talk show host, whose list of enemies includes Kate Moss and Madonna, took to Twitter to address the incident.

On Wednesday night, Morgan tweeted, "Kelsey Grammer was supposed to be on my show now but ran out of the building. Strange."

Moments later Morgan added, “So, Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex-wife Camille in the open to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before."

About an hour later Morgan tweeted that Grammer was “unprofessional” and claimed that he had no intention of mentioning Camille.

“I like Kelsey Grammer personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife!”

In response to the incident, Grammer’s spokesman Stan Rosenfield, told the Hollywood Reporter that “Piers needs to take responsibility for what he did to Kelsey. It's called accountability."

Though Grammer was there to promote Season 2 of “Boss,” it’s unlikely that the subject of his ex-wife would have been avoided—especially if her photo was included in the segment.

The demise of the couple’s 13-year marriage played out on national television during the first season of the reality show “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” which Camille starred in. Their highly publicized divorce recently made headlines after TMZ reported that Camille walked away with $30 million following the split.

According to Zimbo, just weeks after separating from Camille in July 2010, Grammer, 57, began dating Kayte Walsh, a 31-year-old flight attendant. The pair married in Feb. 2011 and welcomed daughter Evangeline Elisa in July 2012.

On Thursday morning, Morgan continued tweeting about the former “Frasier” star asking, “Anyone found Kelsey Grammer yet?”

He then added, “I’ll be on @jimmyfallon tonight--and relax Jimmy, unlike my guest Mr. Grammer last night, I won't run away.”

Grammer is one of several high profile figures to spar with Morgan.

In 2010, Morgan published a transcript of a conversation that he had with Kate Moss on The Daily Mail’s website in which he claims she called him an [expletive] and kicked him.

Though the article ends with them burying the hatchet, in March of this year Morgan told The Mirror that Moss is “utterly horrific... If people actually knew what she was like they would never, ever be interested in her again.”

In August of 2011, Christine O'Donnell walked out of an interview with Morgan after he pressed her with questions that she wanted to avoid. The Delaware Republican appeared on the show to promote her book “Troublemaker: Let's Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again” and made it clear that she did not want to discuss topics typically addressed to those running for political office.

When asked to share her views on gay marriage and the “don’t ask, don’t tell policy” in the military, O’Donnell refused to comment on either issue. When Morgan asked her why she was being “so weird” about the subject she became agitated.

“I’m promoting the policies that I laid out in the book that are mostly fiscal, that are mostly constitutional,” said O’Donnell. “That’s why I agreed to come on your show. That’s what I want to talk about. I’m not being weird. You’re being a little rude.”

Moments later, the Tea Party figure claimed that she was being “pulled away” from the interview by her team and walked out.

In Jan. 2011, Morgan told Access Hollywood that he banned Madonna from his show because she has been “an irritant in my life for 20 years.”

In March of 2012, Morgan welcomed the pop icon to Twitter in a rather unfriendly way. According to TMZ, the British talk show host tweeted: "Welcome to Twitter. You're still banned from my show. Love Piers X."
