Kendall Jenner Beats Kate Upton And Jourdan Dunn On Forbes’ Highest-Paid Models

Kendall Jenner has quickly become the "it" girl of the modeling industry, walking in several high-profile fashion shows, landing deals with top beauty brands, and now joining the ranks of Forbes' annual highest-paid models list. The business magazine announced on Thursday that the 19-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star came in eighth place on the list after making $4 million in the past year.

Jenner's debut on the list shouldn't be that surprising considering the model has been seen everywhere lately. Earlier this year, she was announced as the brand ambassador for Estee Lauder, she inked a deal with Calvin Klein's famous #MyCalvins underwear campaign, and she starred in print ads for high-end brands such as Givenchy, Fendi, Balmain and Marc Jacobs.

The reality-TV star also strutted on the catwalk for Paris Fashion Week in July and Milan Fashion Week in February. Most recently, Jenner walked in New York Fashion Week for designers Givenchy, Michael Kors and Diane Von Furstenberg.

While some people might think Jenner's famous family played a part in her modeling success, the teen told V Magazine earlier this year that appearing on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" was atually a major drawback.

“You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back," Jenner said. "It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager.”

In another interview, with GQ, Jenner said now that her modeling career is taking off, she refuses to have E! cameras film her at work. "I told them from the beginning, I was like, ’Okay, love you guys, but we’re not gonna do this. You’re not gonna follow me to shows, you’re not gonna be with me on this ride,'" Jenner said.

Other models to make Forbes' highest-paid list are Gisele Bundchen in the top spot with $44 million, followed by Cara Delevingne and Adriana Lima tied for second with $9 million each. A little further down the list, trailing Jenner, is Kate Upton and Jourdan Dunn in ninth with $3.5 million each.
