Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian Feud? Model Bans Sister From Fashion Shows
Are Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner feuding? Jenner reportedly banned her sister from attending her Fashion Week shows last week. The 18-year-old walked for coveted designers including Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, and Diane von Furstenberg. While one would typically want their loved one to experience such a memorable experience with them, Jenner had a different idea.
Kardashian was invited to a number of shows by the designers, but did not attend any that Jenner walked in. “Kim was invited to a lot of the shows that I was in,” Jenner told The Cut last week. “She called me before and was like, ‘Hey, I was invited to the show, I just wanted to let you know. Do you want me to come?’ and I was like, ‘No.’”
It doesn't seem that the two are unfriendly terms, but rather that Jenner did not want her older sister to steal her spotlight. The reality star spoke about how being affiliated with her family and their E! show “Keeping up with the Kardashians” has negatively impacted her fashion modeling career.
“I was like, ‘You know what? I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously … People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn’t. What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show. I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn’t recognize me. I was like, ‘Thank you. Please don’t recognize me.’”
