Kendall Jenner Leaving ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’? Model Reportedly Told To Quit Show For Fashion Career
In an effort to keep her burgeoning modeling career afloat, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kendall Jenner has reportedly been advised to quit the hit reality show.
According to a report from Radar Online Friday, the 18-year-old TV-star-turned-high-fashion model has been feeling pressure to leave the E! program after several years of living her life in front of cameras. “Kendall has been told by several high-profile fashion photographers that she definitely has a future in modeling,” an insider told the gossip site, adding that fashion professionals have advised the brunette beauty to quit the show while she’s ahead. “She was advised that continuing to appear on reality television will diminish interest in her as a model,” said the source.
Allegedly, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” filming schedule is also a conflict for the runway star. “Kendall is contractually obligated to appear on the show, and there is a huge time commitment involved,” said the insider, adding, “In the past, she has had to pass on modeling shoots because shooting for the television show takes precedence.”
Jenner last made headlines as a result of her modeling career after she was spotted sitting next to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour at the Topshop Unique runway show during London Fashion Week on Feb. 16. Just days prior to her coveted front-row appearance, Jenner walked the Marc Jacobs runway show at New York Fashion Week in New York City sporting a controversial sheer top.
Unfortunately for “Keeping Up” fans, Jenner isn’t the only family member reportedly considering taking an official leave from the series. According to a separate report from Radar Online Thursday, Jenner’s half-brothers, Brandon, 32, and Brody Jenner, 30, are also considering leaving the show. “Brody and Brandon have absolutely zero interest in appearing on the upcoming season,” a source told Radar, adding that the brothers decided to quit the popular program in an effort to bond with their dad, former Olympian Bruce Jenner, behind the camera. “It’s time for them to forge a new relationship with their dad, with no cameras present,” the source said.
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on E!
