Kendall Vertes Passes Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ On iTunes Music Videos Chart With ‘Wear ‘Em Out’
When Abby Lee Miller says she makes stars, she isn't kidding! One of the "Dance Moms" reality star's elite junior competition team members, Kendall Vertes, who goes by the stage name Kendall K, premiered her debut music video for “Wear ‘Em Out” on the series Tuesday night and it's already topping the iTunes charts.
Kendall’s “Wear ‘Em Out” was No. 1 on the iTunes music videos chart for all genres Tuesday evening, surpassing Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” Also in the top five are singles by Bruno Mars and Maroon 5.
Abby, who manages Kendall, 12, took to Twitter to boast about her student’s achievements. “Kendall, your #WearEmOut video just went to #1 in the USA! Congratulations to all! You’re not #2 anymore - @TaylorSwift is!” Abby posted to Instagram alongside an image of Kendall posing next to Swift. “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer! LOL!!! Teasing!!!” Abby added.
The official ALDC (Abby Lee Dance Company) Twitter page also offered its congratulations to Kendall.
Kendall appears to be thrilled by her music video’s success. “Am I dreaming!?” the “Dance Moms” star posted to Instagram late Tuesday. The newfound singer also posted a public thanks to her music video team -- including Abby, for “making this dream come true.”
Kendall’s music video placing above Swift’s comes just days after Kendall was introduced to the 25-year-old “Bad Blood” songstress. Kendall and her “Dance Moms” co-star Maddie Ziegler met the singer during The 1989 World Tour appearance in Pittsburgh, on June 6. The threesome each posted photos of their encounters to Instagram.
"Dance Moms" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime. Check out the official music video for Kendall K's "Wear 'Em Out" below:
