Kendrick Lamar Reveals New Album Title, Artwork And Tracklist
With only three days left until the release of Kendrick Lamar’s new album, we now know what the California rapper will be naming the project. Releasing April 14, Kendrick’s next album will be called “Damn.” The “Humble” artist took to Twitter Tuesday to reveal the album’s title, artwork and tracklist.

Going for a simple album cover, the artwork features Kendrick in a white t-shirt in front of a brick wall with the word “Damn.” over his head. The tracklist confirms there will be 14 songs on the album and will include two guest appearances from Rihanna and U2 on the songs “Loyalty” and “XXX,” respectively.
Last week, a user on the Reddit hip-hop message board discovered the song writing and producing credits for the album before song titles were revealed. Thanks to Kendrick’s reveal of the tracklist, we now know which producers worked on which songs. It appears that 9th Wonder produced the album’s outro track, “Duckworth,” while The Alchemist had a hand in “Fear.”
Speaking with the New York Times in March, the “Alright” rapper said he had a new focus with his upcoming release. “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to the community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork.”
Although he wouldn’t reveal a direction for “Damn,” he did say he wants people to learn to accept it rather than running away from it. “At one point in time, I may have a little girl who grows up and tells me about her engagements with a male figure — things that most men don’t want to hear. Learning to accept it and not run away… That’s how I want this album to feel.”
