Kerry Washington Having A Boy? Wears Blue To Baby Shower [PHOTO]
When an expectant mother wears blue to a baby shower that definitely means she is having a boy, right? That is the question Kerry Washington fans are asking after the actress wore a denim blue dress to her baby shower on Sunday.
The 37-year-old “Scandal” actress had her shower at “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes’ house. The celebratory event was attended by about 60 guests, reports Radar Online, including Jane Fonda.
“I hadn’t seen Kerry since she was pregnant and as soon as I saw her with her gorgeous belly I starting crying,” Fonda wrote on her blog about the baby shower. Washington is currently 7 months pregnant.
Washington was very private about her pregnancy, as well as her marriage to husband Nnamdi Asomugha. In July, Washington shocked fans when she married San Fracisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha in Idaho. The two had been dating secretly for a year.
Her co-stars on '"Scandal" weren't even aware that she was getting married. The only person Washington told was Rhimes. "I bought her a beautiful, beautiful English tea set from Fortnum & Mason in London. I was one of the only people who knew about the wedding beforehand, so that's why."
Since Washington’s wedding, there have been numerous rumors that the pair are already having a troublesome marriage, due to Washington’s success in Hollywood, though she was already a name to be reckoned with prior to the couple getting married.
In December, Asomugha retired as a Raider after 11 years in the NFL, while Washington rakes in $80,000 an episode, making her one of TV’s highest-paid actresses. The couple has reported had several fights due to her success and his absence during what is supposed to be the most exciting time of her life.
“What should be the happiest time in Kerry’s life has become a marital minefield,” a source told National Enquirer. But based on Washington’s smile at her baby shower, it appears married life is still treating the actress well.
