Kevin Durant, CJ McCollum Exchange Heated Words On Twitter After Podcast

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant and Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum exchanged some heated words about each other Wednesday.
Appearing on McCollum's own podcast "Pull Up with CJ McCollum," the conversation took another direction when the Portland player expressed his displeasure about DeMarcus Cousins' move to the Warriors, especially as he claims his side had a chance of landing the former All-Star free agent.
The transcript of the conversation, as per CBS Sports.
Durant: "Why are you mad about this stuff?"
McCollum: "Bro, I'm in the league. What do you mean why am I mad about this stuff? I'm in the Western Conference. I gotta play you MFers all the time anyway as it is, over and over again. We got eliminated by y'all a few times in the first round. So I'm looking at [Cousins] —
Durant: "I mean ... you know you guys aren't going to win a championship?"
McCollum: "Bro, we have the team. We have the capabilities. Anything is possible. We can win a championship, bro."
Durant would proceed to deliver even harsher words to McCollum by stating despite being the third seed in the Western Conference, Portland played like an eighth seed when they were swept by the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the recent playoffs.
McCollum was clearly not pleased with the 29-year-old's comments as he would then take to Twitter to talk about Durant and his "soft move" to the Warriors.
After failing to defeat the Warriors in the 2016 Western Conference Finals with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant proceeded to join them the following summer in a move that is clearly still being scrutinized till this date.
The results have not been unexpected as the Warriors would win championships in 2017 and 2018, with Durant being named Finals MVP on both occasions.
I still think the b word is harsh and shouldn’t be used. . He know that decision was soft but I respect it. It’s like getting jumped with ur brothers by a gang you should’ve beat then joining the gang that jumped u and ur brothers 2 months later & forgetting about your bros https://t.co/BFGqQy1lwR

Durant, who has regularly been defending his move to the Bay Area, did not take long to fire back.
So,I would get into a gang fight, lose, plot on my brother for 2 months in our home and then go get the gang we lost to and beat him up? U think that low of me CJ? I just did your fuckin podcast. Snakes in the grass boy I tell ya 🤣

The former OKC star would reply to others on social media, though some of his tweets have now been deleted.
So they can keep talking but I have to shutup? Sounds fishy to me but u know what, I’m not even allowed to be on here since I’m in the nba. Lemme fall back. My bad

McCollum responded a while later with a statement claiming their feud was not a real feud and that he was just making an analogy. He also added that he'll always say what he feels but was done speaking about Durant and the Warriors.
There is no feud y’all gotta chill. It was simply an analogy. I’m done speaking on KD and the warriors bc it’s childish of me to do so and soft lol (will be taken out of context). I’ve always said what I feel but we all know I’ve never been a 🐍. Back to the grind pic.twitter.com/93B39bqKTS

McCollum is not the only one to recently mention Durant's move. Durant's old OKC teammate Enes Kanter spoke about the move to the Warriors earlier this week, stating that the Washington D.C. native should not have betrayed his "brothers".
"Everybody was shocked when he signed with Golden State, they just won 73 games, they don't need no help," Kanter said. "Signing with Golden State [was what was shocking]. I would not be cool [if he joined another team] but like Golden State! We just lost to them, they're just breaking records."
"We were like brothers, you cannot do that to your brothers and that hurt everybody. Then I remember his first game back to OKC was the ugliest game ever," he said.
