Khloé Kardashian, Caitlyn Jenner Fight Over Vanity Fair Interview In ‘I Am Cait’ Sneak Peek [VIDEO]
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” fans know that Khloé was the closest Kardashian to Caitlyn Jenner. But after she transitioned -- and dished about her tumultuous relationship with her ex-wife, Kris Jenner, in Vanity Fair -- things between Khloé and Caitlyn got a little rocky.
Khloé, 31, sent Caitlyn, 65, some text messages after the interview, and they weren’t nice. As shown in a sneak peek clip for Caitlyn’s E! docuseries, “I Am Cait,” the pair confronted each other for the first time since the harsh text exchange, which was about the former Olympian saying Kris “mistreated” her during their relationship.
Caitlyn ultimately said Khloé’s messages were “tough” after she struggled to find a word in the 49-second clip. “Kim [Kardashian] said that you said they were tough, and Kim read all of them, and she was like, ‘These really weren’t that tough,'” Khloé responded. “I just said, ‘We don’t care what you’re doing.’ Meaning we don’t care if you want to transition.”
Though Khloé publicly supported Caitlyn as a transgender woman, she did not condone her bashing her mother. “We want to support you and be there for you. But we don’t think that that entails you speaking negatively about my mom. In our opinion, you don’t even need to mention my mom,” she said. “Let’s not drag my mom through the mud.”
“I would think you would come from a place of more compassion,” she added, “especially when you have two young daughters who are greatly affected by it.” The clip cut out just as Caitlyn started to tell Khloé she did not know what she was talking about.
In the first episode of “I Am Cait,” the Olympian-turned-motivational speaker-turned-reality star-turned-transgender activist wondered if her step-children were truly supportive of her transition, since the only one who visited at that time was Kim.
Brand new episodes of “I Am Cait” air on E! Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT.
