Khloé Kardashian-James Harden: Malika Haqq Says ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Star ‘Very Happy’ With NBA Boyfriend [VIDEO]
Things are going extremely well for Khloé Kardashian and her boyfriend James Harden. The reality TV star’s best friend Malika Haqq opened up about Kardashian’s love life in a recent interview, saying the 31-year-old is happy with her new man.
Kardashian and Harden, who plays basketball for the Houston Rockets, were first linked as a couple in July when they were spotted in Las Vegas together celebrating the July Fourth holiday. Since then, the pair has been attached at the hip and were even seen getting cozy with each other at Kylie Jenner’s 18th birthday party in Los Angeles. Malika Haqq, who often appears on the family reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” told E! News the couple is “really happy.”
Her twin sister Khadijah Haqq added, “[They’re] great. She deserves it.” Malika and Khadijah Haqq also dished on Harden’s birthday party last month on a yacht in Los Angeles. As previously reported, Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner were criticized for shooting off a fireworks display at midnight, disturbing residents in nearby Marina del Rey, California. “It was a blast,” Malika Haqq told E! News. “Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone who’s been to a Kardashian affair that was not a blast.”
Khadijah Haqq noted the fireworks were her favorite part of the evening. “Despite what everyone has to say, had they been invited they wouldn’t be crying about those fireworks at 12 am that only went off for eight minutes,” Malika Haqq added.” C’mon people.”
While Kardashian’s close friends see nothing wrong with the fireworks display, 12 residents of Marina del Rey were so upset they decided to sue Kardashian and Jenner. According to TMZ, one person said in the suit that her young child “freaked out” over the loud fireworks, while another resident claimed the display worsened her multiple sclerosis. Each of the 12 residents were said to be filing claims for $7,500 each against Kardashian and her mom. They were also slammed by Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Bonin who tweeted at the time Kardashian and Jenner did not have permission to shoot the fireworks. “Disruptive celeb firework show that woke up thousands was NOT permitted by city or county. Checking if US Coast Guard did it. #stupidrude,” Bonin tweeted. Check out the vidoe below to see Malika Haqq talk about Kardashian and Harden's relationship.
