Khloé Kardashian, Lamar Odom Divorce Case To Be Dismissed; Khloe Reveals She Kept Ex's Last Name
There’s still hope for Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom. According to reports, the pair, who split in 2013, are still not divorced -- and it doesn’t seem they will be anytime soon. TMZ reports that their divorce might be dismissed, although it appears to be more of a technicality than a reconciliation.
According to TMZ, Kardashian was told multiple times she needed to file the appropriate paperwork -- a default divorce judgment -- to legally end her marriage to Odom, 35, or risk having their entire divorce case dismissed. It is being reported that the case may be thrown out as early as the end of April. The 30-year-old E! star reportedly ignored the warnings because "she doesn't want to deal with the divorce" and is now rumored to be refusing to "take any action," according to TMZ. Her aloofness, coupled with a recent Instagram photo she shared, has the Internet buzzing.
Kardashian, who is currently visiting Armenia with her family, uploaded a photo showing the certificates she and sister Kim Kardashian got for their siblings Rob and Kourtney Kardashian, who did not join them on their trip. The certificates declare Rob and Kourtney owners of small plots of land in their ancestral country, but that’s not what all the fuss is about. Upon further inspection, the documents revealed that Khloé has not had her last name legally changed back from Odom. She has since removed the image.
Khloé and Lamar married in September 2009 in the presence of family, friends and, of course, E! cameras. For years the couple appeared to be hopelessly in love, documenting their adorable relationship as well as their growing careers in a spinoff series titled “Khloé and Lamar.” Their marriage began falling apart in 2013 as rumors of infidelity, which later proved to be true, and drug use, swirled. Khloé continued to document her struggle to help her husband through his depression, as well as his other issues, before filing for divorce.
