Khloé Kardashian Opens Up About Lamar Odom’s Brain Injury, Says She Didn’t Want Him In Public Alone
Khloé Kardashian is still protective of estranged husband Lamar Odom, even though the two aren’t in a relationship anymore. The 31-year-old reality star opened up about Odom’s health saying that there were times when she didn’t want him to be out in public alone because of his brain injury.
During Wednesday’s episode of her FYI show “Kocktails With Khloé,” she recalled a time when she got upset after someone Odom knew approached him wanting to know if the former basketball player remembered him.
“We went somewhere, and some guy came up to him and was like, ‘Hey, you remember me?’ and I’m like I know he’s an adult, and I didn’t want to, you know, be this girl, but I was like, ‘No, he doesn’t remember you right now,’” she said (via Us Weekly). “I wanted to attack this guy and be like, ‘Take your head out of you’re a--!’”
Khloé continued, “I almost then didn’t want Lamar to ever go out in public without me because I felt like I had to tell everyone he has a brain injury, and I don’t want to emasculate him.”
It was reported that Odom, 36, suffered memory loss following his October accident in Nebraska when he was found unconscious inside a brothel. The former Los Angeles Lakers player also opened up to Entertainment Tonight about rumors Khloé wanted to file for divorce after photos surfaced of him at a Los Angeles bar.
“We did talk. Everything is [up for] decisions,” he said. “We talk about anything. We’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop.”
On Wednesday, Us Weekly reported that Khloé was ready to file for divorce a second time because she wanted to move on with her life.
“Lamar is doing great,” a source said. “He hasn’t been drinking and is doing well. But Khloe is going to file for divorce. She wants to leave him now.”
The source said Odom isn’t exactly on board with the divorce but “wants to lead a normal life too.”
