Kim Basinger Says Ireland Baldwin's Pregnancy Is 'Like Mother, Like Daughter'

Kim Basinger reacted to the latest sonogram of her daughter Ireland Baldwin's pregnancy.

Basinger made a comparison between her and her daughter Ireland's pregnancy. She shared two sonograms on Instagram. One was taken when she was expecting Ireland, and the other was Ireland's latest sonogram from her pregnancy.

"I know it's hard to read... But in April of 1995, this was a note I wrote on one of my first sonograms of baby Ireland. It said '4 white paws and a tail. Like I said to Dr. Liu (my OB), It's a puppy!'" she wrote in the caption.

"This weekend, 27 years later, I looked at @irelandirelandireland's newest sonogram and could have sworn she was having a Beagle!" Basinger said of her daughter's sonogram. "Like mother, like daughter.... and a new baby girl coming our way. So looking forward to meeting this little Snoopy in June..."

The post received several responses from her pals, fans and daughter. Many also agreed that there seemed to be a puppy in Ireland's sonogram.

"Awwwwwww!!!!!!" Ireland wrote.

"That's crazy that you said that because I thought the same thing. I thought she was playing a joke on everyone and photoshopped a puppy!" one commented.

"I thought the exact same thing! Being an animal rescuer, however, I thought my eyes were playing tricks?! I kept scrolling, wondering if anyone else saw it, but that day, I never saw one pup-related comment. So I kept my mouth shut," another wrote with a laughing emoji.

"I was with my daughter when I saw the sonogram and said the exact same thing to her. I thought Ireland was getting a new dog for 2023," a third fan wrote.

Ireland shared in June that she had an abortion. However, she only did it because she was raped, and she believed she had enough reason to terminate the pregnancy.

"I was raped when I was a teenager, and I was completely unconscious when it happened, and it changed the course of the rest of my life," she said in a TikTok video. "I kept that secret inside of me for years, and because I did, it caused a lot of hurt and a lot of pain to me and to people I love."

"I chose to get an abortion because I know exactly what it felt like to be born between two people who hated each other," she added.

Basinger shares Ireland with ex-husband Alec Baldwin. Basinger and Alec were married from 1993 to 2002.

Basinger said on Jada Pinkett Smith's "Red Table Talk" that they "went through a heavy-duty, very out loud when you're in the public, divorce," and their daughter, Ireland, "had to go through that very rough time."
