Kim Kardashian Attends Kanye West's 'Donda' Album Listening Event With Kids
KEY POINTS
- Kim Kardashian donned a red jumpsuit and a pair of crimson boots at the event
- "Donda" reportedly featured a song about West's divorce from Kim
- One track also featured a surprise verse from JAY-Z
Kim Kardashian attended a listening event for her ex Kanye West’s 10th studio album “Donda” at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday. All their four children -- North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3 and Psalm, 2, joined the festivities.
Khloe Kardashian also attended the event with her sister. Despite Kim and West’s split, Khloe has remained close to the singer, whom she recently called her “brother for life.”
Kim donned a red jumpsuit and a pair of crimson boots at the event. Her outfit matched West’s red snowsuit, which helped command crowd attention from the center of the stadium, with his new album playing over the loudspeakers.
West had been actively promoting his album on Instagram for the past few days, sharing photos of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
One of the tracks in his album, “Welcome to My Life,” has drawn much fan attention due to its lyrics, “I’m losing my family/ I’m losing my family.” West reportedly wrote the song to tell the story of his divorce and many find it particularly heartbreaking that his ex-wife and kids were at the listening event to hear it for the first time.
The final track in the album also came as a surprise for fans, as it featured a verse from JAY-Z. West and JAY-Z have been at odds for several years and many believe that their surprise reunion in West’s newest album suggests that the two rappers might soon be collaborating again on a follow-up to their 2011 album “Watch the Throne.”
Kim and West have been supportive of each other despite going through a divorce. Since Kim filed for divorce from West in February, the two have remained amicable and seamlessly transitioned into co-parenting their children. Earlier this week, the ex-couple even took their brood on a family trip to San Francisco.
