Kim Kardashian Buys New Estate Near Kanye West's Hidden Hills Home To Have Her Autonomy: Report

Kim Kardashian bought a new estate in Malibu, but she is keeping her family home in Hidden Hills, a new report claimed.

Sources told People that the former wife of Kanye West made the purchase this month and plans to maintain the Malibu villa as a vacation house. "The Malibu house is just a beach house. She is not selling her Hidden Hills house," an unnamed insider told the entertainment news outlet.

"Kanye's home is very close [to the Hidden Hills house], and this is another way for her to have her autonomy," a second tipster shared of Kim Kardashian's reason for the purchase. To recall, West acquired property across the street from the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star's primary residence in 2021.

The former lovebirds, as per People, acquired the Hidden Hills house for $20 in 2014. However, Kris Jenner tweeted in 2018 that it is now worth $60 million—thanks to extensive renovations. Kim Kardashian continues to dwell there with North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.

Kanye West and "The Kardashians" reality star collaborated with architect Axel Vervoordt to build a one-of-a-kind, all-white interior for their home, which is sometimes compared to a monastery or a museum for its austere design. It took three years to finish the said property before the family moved in in 2017.

"My solace comes from seeing my kids and getting a solid schedule. That's why I even got the house," Kanye West explained of his purchase of the $4.5 million property during an interview with Jason Lee for "Hollywood Unlocked." "[It was] flipped into there was something wrong with me getting a house next to my kids," the "Praise God" hitmaker continued.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has been attempting to sell two other California residences. This month, the ex-girlfriend of Pete Davidson relisted for $3.5 million the brutalist three-bedroom, a four-bathroom condominium in Calabasas that she once used as an office for SKIMS. In addition, she offered a nearby ranch house for $5.3 million.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were married for six years before the mom of four filed for divorce on Feb. 19, 2021. The ex-pair reportedly tried counseling, but the sister of Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian sought to bifurcate the case so she could become legally single ahead of final orders.
