Kim Kardashian Calls Assistant Stephanie Shepherd 'Unprofessional' Over Job Complaints

Kim Kardashian is none too pleased with her assistant Stephanie Shepherd for reportedly confiding in another Kardashian that her job is “unfulfilling.” In an upcoming promo for the family’s E! reality series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the reality star calls her assistant “unprofessional” for making the comments to anyone but her own boss.

Kourtney Kardashian dropped the bombshell in conversation with her sister Kim Kardashian after spending a night out with Shepherd. Describing it at first as a “good, fun night,” Kourtney Kardashian then told her sister of Shepherd’s apparent reservations about the fulfillment she gets from working for the famous family.

“Just a heads up we were talking and she was just saying she didn't know what she wanted to do in life, and like she feels like maybe she's in a place where like she's unfulfilled job-wise,” she said. “I don’t know. I feel like she's just looking to like evolve.”

“I mean she does have a bigger role in designing Kimoji and doing stuff like that. But I do think it's like inappropriate for her to talk to you and not to me,” Kim Kardashian replied.

She later added: “I mean don't you think that's like a little bit unprofessional?”

“I think we were talking about like life in general and because we were talking about it then she brought it up,” Kourtney Kardashian said.

Kim Kardashian replied: “That’s like a convo she should have with me.”

Shepherd has been working for the KKW Beauty mogul since 2013 and has been with the family through a number of high-profile events, including Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery last year. She also frequently appears on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and has some producer credits as well. Outside of a professional setting, she is known to be closest with Kourtney Kardashian. But she plays an integral role in Kim Kardashian’s world.

“My role has expanded outside of just an executive assistant,” she told Refinery29 earlier this year. “I'm basically Kim's liaison at this point. Every time she launches a product or makes a move to own her brand, it's essentially like launching a startup. Even just right now, there's...Kylie's Lip Kit collaboration and the website, and more fun stuff coming. Kimoji has been my favorite, because I’m not really that much of a beauty girl, but I have an eye for the packaging and fonts and details. The assistant stuff is like second nature now; I don’t even have to think about it. I know her, I know her schedule, I know how long it takes to go from Kourtney’s to Kris’ down to the second, I can map it out.”

In spite of the conversation between the sisters, all appeared to be well between Kim Kardashian and her assistant as of last week. Shepherd posted an Instagram wishing the star a happy birthday captioned “LYLAS,” which seeemingly means “love you like a sister.”
