Kim Kardashian Denied Pete Davidson Her Number At Met Gala 2021

Pete Davidson made his debut in Kim Kardashian and her family's Hulu series "The Kardashians."

The "Saturday Night Live" alum made his first in-person appearance in "The Kardashians" on Thursday's episode. Kardashian and Davidson are no longer together, but the episode was filmed during their date night at the 2022 Met Gala in May.

On the episode, Davidson revisited their meet-cute at the Met Gala the previous year. The 29-year-old comedian asked for Kardashian's number, but she didn't give it to him.

"Remember when I asked for your number at the last Met, and you pretended that you couldn't give it to me because you had gloves on?" Davidson said, E! News reported.

"I know. Will you ask me again this time? I don't have gloves on," she replied.

The "King of Staten Island" star reflected on Kardashian's response and continued, "It was actually the nicest excuse ever. I knew it was an excuse, but I remember being in the car being like, 'Wow, she knows how to, like, make someone feel really good about themselves.' I thought that was really sweet."

Kardashian and Davidson met again in the same year when she guest-hosted "SNL" on Oct. 10. They did an Alladin-inspired skit together where they kissed. Shortly after her appearance on the late-night comedy show, she started dating Davidson.

In the first season of "The Kardashians," the Skims founder told her sisters that she made the first move with her then-boyfriend.

"So, this is how it went down with Pete. I did 'SNL,' and then when we kissed in [a] scene, it was just a vibe," Kardashian explained while recalling how their romance started. "And I was like, 'Oh, s---. Maybe I just need to try something different!'"

She noted that everyone attended her afterparty except for Davidson, who "does not give me the time of day." She waited a couple of days before asking the "SNL" producer for Davidson's phone number.

"I text him. I wasn't even thinking like, 'Oh my God, I'm gonna be in a relationship with him.' I was just thinking, 'Heard about this BDE [big d--- energy], need to get out there, I need to jumpstart my — [laughs],'" Kim added. "I was just basically DTF [down to f---]."

Davidson and Kardashian split in August after dating for nine months. Sources told Page Six they parted ways due to their "long distance and demanding schedules."
