Days after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, the 26-year-old NBA star has canceled an appearance in Las Vegas.

Humphries was scheduled to host a party at the Paris Hotel's Chateau Nightclub on Saturday, but has since been relieved of those duties, his rep confirmed to People.

Meanwhile, Kardashian is in Australia with sister Khloe for the launch of their Kardashian Kollection Australian handbag line.

On Wednesday, Kardashian, 31, was photographed arriving in Sydney in a swarm of photographers and screaming fans.

With the NBA lockout still in session, Humphries has been keeping busy with family and friends in Minnesota. The towering power forward is very sad . . . he's just processing it all, a source told People.

I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents . . . and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work, Humphries said in a statement on Monday.

Humphries actually first found out about the divorce filing through a TMZ report, not from Kardashian herself.

On Tuesday, Kardashian broke her silence about the divorce, through a post called A Message To My Fans on her Web site.

I married for love. I can't believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show! the reality TV star wrote.

I never had the intention of hurting anybody and I accept full responsibility for my actions and decisions, and for taking everyone on this journey with me. It just didn't turn out to be the fairy tale I had so badly hoped for, Kardashian added.

The Kardashian and Humphries divorce has been a popular among late night talk shows, Twitter users and comedians.

Lisa Lampanelli, known for her raunchy comedy and frequent appearances on Comedy Central roasts, did not pass up on the opportunity to make a joke about the divorce.
