Kim Kardashian Facing Legal Troubles, California Driver Sues Over 2014 Car Accident
A car incident that happened between Kim Kardashian and a California driver in 2014 is now haunting the reality TV star. The said driver recently filed a lawsuit against Kardashian and is asking for compensation to cover medical expenses as well as loss of income due to the accident.
Rafael Linares filed a personal injury lawsuit Tuesday in Los Angeles, according to the New York Daily News. It has been two years since the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star “negligently” hit Linares’ car in Beverly Hills. However, lawsuit documents obtained by the said news outlet showed that Linares has “sustained personal injuries which caused and will continue to cause pain, discomfort and physical disability.”
The accident occurred at the Sunset Boulevard and Benedict Canyon Drive area in March 2014. Linares’ lawsuit is also asking Kanye West’s wife to cover medical expenses and property damage, as stated in the same report. The said California driver also indicated in his lawsuit that Kardashian should compensate him for “loss of income and impaired earning capacity” due to the car accident.
Other information on Linares’ filed lawsuit was also detailed in a TMZ report. The driver claimed that he “suffered multiple injuries” and that his “car was damaged” from the incident. However, he did not elaborate on the injuries he sustained, as well as details of the car damage.
The same report also shared their previous news coverage of the March 2014 incident and that “no one was ticketed” after the car accident. Linares and Kardashian reportedly “hugged it out” and exchanged contact information when the incident happened. Sources told TMZ that the damage at that time was “minimal” and “felt the guy was totally fine.” The reality star was driving a G Wagon during the March 2014 accident and the vehicle only had a small paint scruff from the incident.
Kardashian or her representatives has yet to comment on the lawsuit news.
