Kim Kardashian: Jon Hamm, Snoop Dogg And Other Celebrities Who Have Dissed The Reality Star
Is Kim Kardashian Hollywood's Public Enemy No. 1? The reality star, who rose to fame after her sex tape with singer Ray J leaked in 2007, might have finally reached the end of her rope. Celebrities from Jon Hamm to Ray J to Daniel Craig have all voiced their detestation of the 31-year-old. As more and more legitimately talented Hollywood stars do the same, it is unlikely that her reputation can be salvaged.
The backlash first began when Kim Kardashian divorced husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage. Kardashian filed for divorce on Oct. 31 after a lavish multi-million dollar wedding and a made-for-TV recap, entitled Kim's Fairytale Wedding.
It seems like nowadays one is hard-pressed to find a Kardashian fan. The Boycott Kardashian Petition circulated in November and currently has over 650,000 signatures. In January, the flaming Kardashian backlash was further fanned when The New York Post published an article saying, Everything the reality family touches turns absolutely toxic - with party promoters, magazine editors and television execs all scrambling to blacklist them.
I'd pay her $600,000 personally not to go to Red Egg, said Travis Bass, referring to the Chinatown hot spot he co-owns. Kim Kardashian would be crushing to us. We'd have a meeting Monday and talk about how that happened.
Here are comments from Jon Hamm, Daniel Craig and other celebrities who have voiced their hatred of the reality star and her waterfall of cash.
Jon Hamm: We're at a place where the idea of being 'elite' is somehow considered negative. Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated, the Mad Men star said in an interview with Elle UK. Being a f---ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly.
**Kardashian responded to Hamm, via Twitter, saying, I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We're all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless.
Daniel Craig: When asked about the popularity, and ridiculousness, of reality stars asking for privacy in an interview with British GQ, actor Craig responded: It is a career; I'm not being cynical. And why wouldn't you? Look at the Kardashians, they're worth millions. Millions! I don't think they were that badly off to begin with, but now look at them. You see that and you think, 'What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f---ing idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?'
Chelsea Handler: Jennifer [Aniston] said she saw the Kardashians at dinner last night, Handler said on her E! show. She was like, 'They're nice.' And I said: 'Don't get photographed with the Kardashians!' People will blame me for it!
Michael Buble: At a November concert in New York, singer Michael Buble told the crowd, Ladies and gentleman, I have a very special guest. Please welcome Kim Kardashian [to the stage]. The audience gasped, thinking the reality starlet would actually walk out from the wings, reported the New York Post. But Bublé dashed their hopes when he said, Nah, just f---ing with you! That b---- isn't coming on my stage.
Snoop Dogg: In a video offering Kris Humphries advice after his split from Kim Kardashian, the rapper said: You shouldn't have tried to wife the b----, man. She's not that type of ho! She's cold-blooded, I'm pretty sure she'll have a book in a month talking about all the n---ers that she got and how she played them. So, my advice is, look, you can't make a ho a housewife. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. Let her do what she was born to do - ho. Yeah, ho. Punk b----.
Ray J: In his new book, Death of the Cheating mna; What Every Woman Must Know About Men Who Stray, singer Ray J, who made the sex tape with Kardashian, discusses his former relationship with the reality star. He said that she started going to extremes to monitor his philandering ways, something she was guilty of herself. I had no respect for her. I wanted more for my life ... [to] find a woman that I could actually trust.
Mariah Carey: I'm a real person, I'm not going to put on a fake face for Hollywood, Carey said during a press conference at the Four Seasons in NYC in November. Sometimes we make each other mad, that's why we aren't divorced after four months.
