Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Ask Trump To Help A$AP Rocky, President Responds
A$AP Rocky has been facing quite a bit of legal trouble lately. For more than two weeks, the rapper has been held at a Swedish prison as prosecutors decide whether or not he should be charged with aggravated assault.
Now, thanks to his famous friends, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West, President Donald Trump and the White House are also involved in freeing the 30-year-old musician.
According to TMZ, as soon as West heard about A$AP being detained in Sweden, he asked his wife to contact the White House. Kardashian had recently been making news for her involvement in varying legal cases and had previously worked with Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law.
Insiders say that Kushner took a look into the case and agreed that something sounded off in terms of how everything was handled with A$AP.
Per TMZ, Trump disclosed to Kushner that he felt as though the "Purple Swag" rapper was, in fact, being unfairly held and wanted to help.
Additionally, it is said that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also became involved when he asked a few deputies to begin working on the matter. A member of the State Department is said to be arriving in Sweden sometime Thursday to actively work on A$AP's release, all of which TMZ attributes to Kim reaching out thanks to her connections.
